Role and Responsibilities of the Advisory Committee
The Show Advisory Committee is established to review work of Show applicants and to make recommendations to the Parks and Recreation Director concerning the administration of the Show.  

The Advisory Committee consists of six members as follows:

1 member-at-large, a community member, appointed by Park and Recreation Commission.
2 permitted artists and 2 permitted craftspeople elected by their respective sections.
Recreation Supervisor/Cultural Arts in the Parks and Recreation Department who shall be an ex-officio, non-voting member.

Advisory Committee Members are expected to:  

Actively participate in a monthly Advisory Committee Meeting, securing the attendance of an Alternate he/she is unable to attend.
Represent fellow arts and crafts show members
Serve as a member of the Screening Committee to screen the work of new artists and craftspeople.
Miss no more than 2 unexcused absences in a six-month period to remain on the committee.
Participate in Citation Review Committee meetings as scheduled.

Meeting Schedule

The meetings of the Santa Barbara Arts and Crafts Show Advisory Committee are generally held the Second Tuesday of every month at the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center, 1118 East Cabrillo Blvd, from 7-9pm.  If there is a change of location or date, a notice will be forwarded to all show members.  Screenings are held prior to the meeting from 6-7pm.   All members of the show and the public are welcome to attend.
