MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
The main requirements to participate in the Santa Barbara Arts and Crafts Show are that:
APPLICATION PROCESS:
A person who meets these initial qualifications is invited to submit an application (available at the Cultural Arts Office), a $15 application fee, 2 passport sized head shot photos, and proof of residency (a driver's license with a Santa Barbara County street address). When your application is complete, you will then be put on a waiting list to be screened.
SCREENING:
When space is available, you will be invited to bring your art/craft to a screening meeting held the first Tuesday of each month. You will be asked to bring representative samples of your work. A screening committee comprised of Arts and Crafts Show members will screen your work and determine if it meets the show's rules and regulations. If your work is approved, you will be invited to join the show when a space is available. The current time on the waiting list is as follows:

PERMITS REQUIRED AND FEES:
As a new show member, your first permit will be for 6 months. The current fee for a 6-month permit is $247. To be eligible to show, you will also need a Resale License from the State Board of Equalization in Ventura, California. To maintain your show permit, you will be required to show a minimum of 6 times in that first 6 months. After 6 months, if you decide to renew your permit and have met all show requirements, you will be eligible for a year-long permit. The current fee for an annual permit is $494.
SHOW OFFICE:
Our offices are located at the Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center, 1118 East Cabrillo Blvd. Santa Barbara, CA 93103. We are open 9-5pm, Monday through Friday. Feel free to stop by and pick up an application packet!
